Akatsuki no Yona may not be as romance-driven as Akagami no Shirayuki-hime, but it truly shines when it comes to action and exhilaration. The plot’s core is motivated by betrayal and redemption, which makes it a little bit unusual. Nonetheless, this isn’t your typical shoujo anime.

However I will recommend that you watch it subbed, as i found the voice acting in the dub to be much less satisfying. Theres decent development of the characters and quirky humor all around, as well as pretty good plot.
